School Information

Greetings Black Knight Families,

As we approach my third year as the proud principal of Jordan Middle School, it gives me great joy to share with you my passion for education and commitment to student achievement. This passion drives my leadership approach and focuses the direction we take as a school community.

I bring 19 years of educational experience with 12 years being in educational leadership. I have served as an assistant principal, language arts curriculum leader, and coordinator of remedial instructional support.

I began my journey in Gwinnett County as a middle school language arts teacher, where I cultivated a love for fostering critical thinking and creativity in our students. At every school, I always found the same thing: Great students with parents who wanted them to have a great education. This is why I decided to enter leadership. I wanted to have a larger impact on more students.

Education

• Educational Leadership Certificate Tier II from the University of West Georgia.
• Educational Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Piedmont College.
• Master’s Degree in Reading Instruction from Nova Southeastern University.
• Bachelor’s in Middle Grades Education from Georgia State University with certifications in language arts, social studies, and science.

Personal

I envision a school where every student feels valued, challenged, and inspired.

I have been married to my college sweetheart for 33 years, we have 3 daughters and 3 dogs. I enjoy reading, hanging out with family, and following the directives of my 3 bossy dogs.

I believe in open communication and invite your input as we shape our school’s future.

I believe our school has the best teachers on the planet. They have a passion to make a real impact…just as I did. If we work together, I know our children will indeed take our school to number 1 in Gwinnett County!
